KYS is proud to celebrate another incredible milestone achieved by our student, Hana Marissa (1 Ikhlas), whose essay earned a Commendation at the prestigious John Locke Institute Global Essay Prize 2026 in the Junior Category for Science and Technology.

The prestigious award was presented at a black-tie award ceremony and gala dinner at the London Hilton on Park Lane, Mayfair, London, on 3 October 2026.

At just 13 years old, Hana Marissa has shown that age is no barrier to pursuing excellence. Her determination to challenge herself among thousands of participants from over 180 countries is truly inspiring. Her resilience, curiosity and commitment to excellence have certainly made us proud!

May Hana’s achievement inspire more of our students to embrace challenges, pursue their passions and strive for excellence.

Congratulations, Hana Marissa!
