On 18 September 2025, Kolej Yayasan Saad proudly celebrates our student, Zara Naaz binti Mohd Rusdi, who was specially granted the honour of an audience with Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Former Prime Minister of Malaysia and Honorary President of the Perdana Leadership Foundation.

Zara will soon represent Malaysia at the 13th Hippo English Olympiad World Finals in Assisi, Italy. This year’s competition saw over 93,000 students from 70 countries in the preliminary round, but only 300 students worldwide advanced to the finals. Out of these, just four Malaysians qualified in her category. Zara is the sole student representing Malaysia for the second consecutive year. Last year, she proudly placed 13th in the world, and now she continues her journey with even greater determination.

Tun Dr. Mahathir’s wisdom and encouragement have inspired Zara to carry Malaysia’s name with pride on the global stage. We wish her every success as she embodies the KYS spirit of excellence, leadership, and resilience.
