A heartfelt appreciation to KYSER, Azeem Abu Bakar, Managing Director of Free Malaysia Today (FMT), and his team for taking time out of their busy schedules to share valuable insights into the world of journalism with the KYS Cemerlang.org Editorial Team and KYS Press Club.
The session focused on the evolving landscape of online journalism as a powerful platform to inform, influence and create meaningful impact within society. Students were introduced to the role of journalism as a medium to convey messages, shape public perspectives and give voice to the unheard.
As part of the programme, participants were challenged to apply their learning through the production of a video and an article centred around the KYS Pillars of Excellence. We were truly impressed by the creativity, effort and quality demonstrated in their final works, and extend our sincere appreciation to FMT for mentoring and inspiring our students throughout the session.
We hope the knowledge and experience gained today will continue to inspire KYS students as they explore their passion for news reporting, editorial work and the ever-evolving media industry.
