Five teams from Kolej Yayasan Saad joined the Sime Darby Young Innovators Challenge 2022 (SDYIC) from 15 July to 16 September. This year, the innovation competition was participated by a total of 2495 students. The projects prepared by KYS teams had to compete with 366 others all over Malaysia.

After reaching Level 2 of the competition, all 5 teams were required to create working prototypes with the applications of Apps or Arduino, followed by uploading a promotional video within the given deadline. All teams showcased amazing concepts and ideas in various fields and attended a workshop to help polish their projects.

Out of five teams, one innovation was successfully shortlisted into the Gold Awards category and has been chosen as the best 15 Finalists.

The team, known as Operation Recell, consists of Jasmin Alyssa, Harith Amsyar and Shaznin Hana. They will be representing Kolej Yayasan Saad and Melaka in the upcoming National Championship.
