Happenings 2021

The KYS Debating Union is a club that has been actively participating in debate tournaments all year round. Even with the pandemic, debating union has not stopped its training and participation in major tournaments.

On the 19-20th of June 2021, 9 KYS students participated in the first ever Malaysian National Schools, World Schools Debating Championships (MNSWSDC). The competition consisted of 4 preliminary rounds and 3 out-rounds in the Open High School Category.

One of the 3 teams successfully managed to break and debate in the quarterfinals, and one KYS participant managed to take the title of 8th best speaker.
