The Young Achievers’ Award (YAA) is a national competition held annually by the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia. This year, teams were required to create a fully functional E-Sports Gaming Centre by stepping into the shoes of four surveying profession: Geomatics and Land Surveyor, Property Surveyor, Building Surveyor & Quantity Surveyor. To complete the task, KYS team used autoCAD, an architectural software, to design the centre. The team also conducted a thorough topographical survey on the designated area, calculated 5 year income projections & net cash flow, SWOT analysis and market survey and many more. After qualifying for the Grand Finals, KYS team presented their ideas and answered questions from panel of judges from different surveying backgrounds.
